Shanxi museum, established since 1919, is one of the oldest museum in China and is the biggest center for collecting, preserving, studying and exhibition of cultural relics in Shanxi province. It is a pioneer of innovation in museum field cross China, especially on museum management and temporary exhibitions. The public cultural life in Shanxi and surrounding area has been promoted and influenced dramatically since it opened in 2005. Shanxi Museum has run successfully for 9 years attracting more than 1,000,000 people each year, showing people the latest archaeological discoveries and research discoveries.
