Micheletti Award 2013 laureate
Museum of Military History of Bundeswehr, Dresden, Germany
The Museum tries to break new ground both in what it contains and how it is constructed. It endeavours to combine reflection on history and critical debate and is more of a house encouraging thinking than one attempting to endow meaning. Distancing itself from the usual presentations of military history, the new museum concept turns instead to the causes and consequences of war. The MHM seeks to encourage creative and unbiased discussions and sees itself as a forum for critical examination of military history and for dialogue on the role of war and the military in the past, present and future.
Presentation is taking place on Friday, 26th September, 10.45- 11.10
