Suzhou Museum, Suzhou, China
Designed by the world famous architect I. M. Pei, the Museum was completed in 2006, covering over 26,500 square meters. It houses over 40,000 cultural relics - most notably for paintings and calligraphy, China and Ming dynasty and Qing dynasty crafts. It features four permanent exhibitions which are Treasures from Wu Culture, Treasures from the Wu Pagoda, Elegance from the Wu Kingdom and Paintings and Calligraphy from the distinguished Wu School. Different kinds of special exhibitions are organized which promote social educational activities of different topics.
