the excellence club

In the 14 years of the existence of The Best in Heritage, we have presented about 400 projects. To qualify for the invitation to the conference, projects have to be winners of prestigious prizes attributed to them by the professional and other distinguished award schemes. Therefore, they were handpicked among many to be presented in Dubrovnik to the professional audience that comes to listen to and witness their success story, earned by hard work and creativity. It is an informal but real club, - truly the projects of influence, able by the definition of the term, to exercise or cause the change.

Interesting information, best practices, exciting visions as well as the possibility of international exchange of experience are making the EXPONATEC COLOGNE Europe’s leading communication platform for the museum, preservation and restoration sectors. From November 22 to 24 2017, about 190 exhibitors from around the world will present again a unique range of offerings, solutions and concepts related to themes such as exhibition presentation, restoration and cultural heritage. Additionally, visitors can participate in the interesting conference program including lectures and discussion forums and exchange information and new ideas with experts.

As the industry changes, so does EXPONATEC COLOGNE 2017. With a new platform for start-up companies, who are not older than five years, the fair gives them the opportunity to present their innovative products and services. Moreover, a Consulting Corner will complete the exhibition program by offering visitors expertise of experienced exhibitors for their own upcoming projects.
Because of the long-term and inspiring exchange with respect to cultural heritage, EXPONATEC also continues its close partnership with Best in Heritage in 2017. Thus, as members of the Best in Heritage Excellence Club, the "Projects of Influence", voted by the audience at the 15th and 16th edition of the Dubrovnik conference in 2016 and 2017 will be presented at EXPONATEC next year. This will give visitors an excellent orientation in terms of quality and provide the industry with state-of-the-art insight into current museum and conservation work from all over the world.

With regard to the “European Heritage Year 2018”, our partners have already started their preparation for this event. With the motto “Sharing Heritage”, the awareness of protecting the European cultural heritage should be increased by education programs in this field. In this context, the EXPONATEC COLOGNE will present interesting topics, trends and new concepts in the exhibition area “Cultural Heritage”.
