In the 18 years of the existence of The Best in Heritage, we have presented more than 440
projects. To qualify for the invitation to the conference, projects have to be winners of prestigious prizes attributed to them by the professional and other distinguished award schemes. It is an informal but real club.

Two projects per year, one for each part of the programme, get proclaimed by the jury The
Project of Influence, as those able to announce or exercise change. This recognition qualifies
them for an invitation to Exponatec (see below), a biennial, prestigious “international trade fair museums conservation and heritage”. There, at the stand of 140 m2 they have a new opportunity to tell their success story to still a wider international audience and make useful contacts.

​Therefore, the conference does not end in Dubrovnik. Besides presenting it at Exponatec: the filmed project presentations are gradually added to the freely accessible archive as a contribution to the heritage sector progress, making the conference a year round event..
